My role: Solo designer Coimbatore, TN

Kaapi Kadai: brand identity for a filter-coffee shop

What I did

Designed the logo, a bilingual Tamil–English menu board, cup sleeves and an Instagram post template for a small coffee shop near my college. I sketched about 30 logo ideas on paper, showed the owner three, and refined the one he chose.

Result or learning

The owner now uses the menu board and cup sleeves in the shop. I learned how to design for print at very small sizes, and how to make Tamil and English text feel equal instead of one looking like an afterthought.

My role: Designer and illustrator December Music Season

Margazhi Season poster series

What I did

Made a series of three posters for the December music season, one each for veena, nadaswaram and mridangam. I hand-drew each instrument in Procreate and paired it with a bold Tamil headline that I lettered myself.

Result or learning

I learned how to keep a series consistent with one grid, one colour rule and one type pair, while still letting each poster feel different.

Grew up around my grandfather's printing press. Outside design I play the veena and collect vintage matchbox labels.

"I'm a final-year student from Tiruchirappalli. I design logos, posters and packaging, and I love working with Tamil and English type side by side."

Most of my work starts with a small local business or a cause I care about. I like to sketch on paper first and go digital only when the idea is clear. I'm looking for my first studio job, where I can learn from senior designers and work on real brands.

I grew up around my grandfather's printing press in Gandhipuram, so I have liked ink, paper and letters since I was small. I draw Tamil letterforms by hand as a hobby. I'm comfortable presenting my work and taking feedback.

Outside design I play the veena and collect old matchbox labels.
